Heritage Volunteers
NADFAS Heritage Volunteers help to conserve our heritage by providing non specialist support to museums, libraries, National Trust properties and historic houses. They care for collections and record documents for posterity and also assist with guiding and stewarding visitors.
A small number of ADFAS Heritage Volunteers currently work at conserving books in the libraries of Exeter College and Regent's Park College, Oxford. It is quite painstaking but very rewarding work for which full training is given. It is also possible that other heritage conservation projects may be initiated through the regional coordinator for Heritage Volunteers. These are publicised at lecture meetings and through the newsletter. If you would like more information please contact the ADFAS Heritage Volunteers Co-ordinator via the Society Secretary.
